Joan E Rodriguez,Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Joan Englehart Rodriguez has been one of our key clinical staff members since 2008.  She brings over 30 years' experience as a clinical audiologist.  A native of Pennsylvania, she graduated from University of Maryland with her Bachelor's degree in Hearing and Speech Sciences in 1978, and earned her Masters of Science degree in Audiology from Penn State University in 1979. In 2003, she received her Doctor of Audiology degree (Au.D.) from Arizona School of Health Sciences.

Dr. Rodriguez is licensed by the State of Georgia, and is certified by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA,) and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA.)  Governor Zell Miller appointed Dr. Rodriguez to the Georgia State Board of Hearing Aid Dealers and Dispenser from 1991-1997.  Her  professional interests include adult and pediatric hearing disorders, adult balance disorders, and hearing aid fitting and dispensing.
Dr. Rodriguez makes her home in Duluth, Georgia.  She has two adult children, a son in Atlanta, and a daughter in North Carolina.  Dr. Rodriguez enjoys sports, especially college basketball, and is passionate about animals and animal rescue.
